The average American spends $8,289 a year on food, $1,754 on clothes, and $3,568 on entertainment.
What do those things have in common?
You can often pay for them with a gift card.
That’s right. If you’re a typical consumer, a gift card is as good as money. I mean, you’re buying those products anyway.
That’s what makes taking surveys for gift cards so appealing.
The earnings aren’t massive – don’t quit your day job! – but they’ll still add up.
The key is to find survey sites that are safe and legit. I’ll describe ten of them here.
10 Best Surveys for Gift Cards
Lots of sites let you take surveys for gift cards, but they’re not all the same.
Some offer a wide variety of earning opportunities, while others are all about surveys. Some pay so little that they’re practically pointless, while others can be worth it if you’ve got the time.
I want you to find the site that’s right for you. So I’ve created a list of solid, dependable options.
1 – Branded Survey
In a world full of survey sites, it makes sense to use one that’s 100% legit – like Branded Survey. This is a site that partners with Fortune 500 companies to better understand how people think. You can do your part just by taking surveys.
When you first sign up, you’ll answer some basic questions so they know what surveys you’re eligible to take. Then, you’ll see a list of survey options on your dashboard. From there, you can take surveys at your leisure.
As you complete surveys, you’ll receive points in your account, with 100 points equalling a dollar. The cashout threshold is 500 points or $5. You can receive your money as cash or as gift cards to popular brands like Amazon, Apple, and Buffalo Wild Wings.
That’s right – a plate of delicious chicken wings is just a few surveys away!

On Survey Junkie, the average user makes $2 -$5 per hour. That’s pretty solid in the world of online surveys!

Pinecone Research helps brands conduct market research – often for products that haven’t yet launched. Your job is to give feedback on the products you’re shown.
In a sense, working with Pinecone research makes you an “influencer,” or at least that’s how their website sells it.
Of course, you won’t be living the glamorous life of an Instagram model, but you will influence real products before they hit the market – and that’s pretty cool.
As you complete studies, you’ll receive points. Once you hit the redemption threshold (minimum of $3), you can turn those points into a prepaid digital gift card. Then, you can use this gift card for online shopping.
You can also opt for a bank transfer (usually takes business 3-5 days), allowing you to redeem your points for actual cash.
Note: You must be an active member for at least 30 days before Pinecone Research lets you redeem any rewards.
10 – LifePoints
LifePoints is a rewards platform with a mobile app, meaning you can take surveys for gift cards right on your phone.
In a busy world, this convenience could be key. It allows you to earn points as you go through the day.
The surveys themselves seem to focus on providing feedback for popular brands.
Exciting?
Maybe not, but it’s certainly easy! After all, we all have opinions about our favorite and least-favorite products.
As a member of the “LifePoints Community,” you’ll earn points for completing surveys. 100 LifePoints are worth the equivalent of $1. Once you earn 550 LifePoints or $5, you can then exchange those points for cash (through Paypal) or receive gift cards from dozens of popular retailers. These retailers include Best Buy, eBay, Target, and many more.
LifePoints has over 5 million members, and they gave out $22 million in rewards just in the last year. They’ve also got a 4.2-star rating from Trustpilot, which is pretty impressive for an online survey site.
So LifePoints is a platform with a strong reputation – making it a platform you can trust.
